Welcome to our first-ever rebroadcast episode!
This week we are re-airing episode 10: Pivoting online and virtual networking for musicians.
I wanted to bring this episode back as a refresher course to prep you for an upcoming episode with Nicole Riccardo, social media marketing QUEEN. Also flutist, also based in Texas. That conversation is going to air on March 30! If you want to get to know Nicole a little beforehand you should DEFINITELY look at her Instagram, which is a study in how to use that platform to your full advantage. She even teaches a course on how to use IG to market yourself and sell your products and services!
Original show notes:
Yes, we are (hopefully) halfway through this pandemic thing. No, it is never too late to start amplifying your artistic voice online!
Your online presence is meant to showcase your work. It is your platform to advertise your goods, services, and skills. If you are a non-salaried musician, how do you expect to get new work if you are not promoting yourself???
Here are Tori’s top necessities for success to amplify your online presence:
2) Youtube channel
3) Facebook page
We also talk about the difference between Facebook pages and Facebook groups, whether or not to shell out the big bucks for a full website design when you’re just starting out, and viewing social media usage as networking.
